Caring for Our Own

Serving GodAt Hope Church, we are a ministry of compassion, witness, and service. Our Board of Deacons is charged with the care and outreach to our congregational members and their families, including our homebound, nursing home, and sick congregants. A few of the ways they reach out are by visits, phone calls, sending cards, and delivering the lovely Chancel flowers each week.

We also have a fund that is managed by the Deacons and our Pastor. This Deacons' Fund consists of contributions from our congregation to be used to assist someone in our congregation with an emergency or short-term need. If you or someone you know has such a need, please contact either Rev. Carriker or Marsha Long (Chairperson of the Deacons).

The Bloodmobile makes regular visits to Hope Church to make it easy for you to donate blood.  When you do, the Hope Church account is credited with your units of blood. When a member (or family member) of Hope needs blood, they can draw from Hope's account... even if they have never given blood. Contact the Church office for more information.

Helping OthersAt Hope Church, our Deacons stand ready to assist you when a need arises. To respond to a need, however, we must know of that need. We ask you, therefore, to advise us or the Pastor of any need you may have. You can speak directly with the Pastor or a Deacon (someone who hands you a bulletin or collects the offering at a Worship service), or you can contact either Rev. Carriker or Marsha Long (Chairperson of the Deacons).
